I’ve been a little obsessive with the weather this marathon training season. Throughout January and February, I expect cold, wind and snow. By March, I expect for it to be a little less of cold/snow and more sun. However, today, it’s snowing. It’s also looking like it’s going to be 20+ MPH winds for speed work tonight, with a temperature that “feels like 18″. In Cleveland, March is the new November.
Monday: Rest Day
Tuesday: Speedwork. 1 mile WU, 6-800s at 3:10, 3:15, 3:17, 3:18, 3:19, 3:21, 1 mile CD
Wednesday: 45 min spin, 15 min abs and arms.
Thursday: 3 Miles in the morning, 3 Miles after work.
Friday: Rest Day
Saturday: St. Malachi Race. 1.5 mile warm up, 5 mile run, 6.5 mile cooldown.=13 Total
Sunday: 50 mins spinning, 25 mins conditioning (sit ups, push ups, jumps, squats etc)
Total Mileage: 25 miles
This was my “scale back week” and I feel like I did a good job. My legs feel rested even though I did speed work on Tuesday and raced on Saturday. I’m looking forward to racing again this weekend and getting in another 20 miler!

P.S. Did you see Alana Hadley is running the Cleveland Marathon as her debut Marathon at 16 years old. Baller! She ran a half marathon at 15 in 1:16:41.
