Week 2 of Training

I have to say most of my runs last week were kind of sluggish with the exception of some good speedwork on Thursday. However, I am now sick with a sore throat/sniffly nose thingy which might explain why I was so sluggish last week. Cold Cleveland weather has kept me inside for another week. I am hoping to get outside this week but we are getting “The Biggest Baddest Snowstorm of the Winter Season” tonight through Wednesday.

Monday: 6 miles on the treadmill

Tuesday: Speedwork 2-1miles @ 7:15 and 7:20, 1-800s @ 3:20, 3-400s @ 1:28, 1:33 and 1:25, had no motivation on Tuesday which made it really hard to do speedwork

Wednesday: Rest Day/Momocho

Thursday: Speedwork 3-1 miles @ 7:15, 7:06 and 6:58, 3-800’s @ 3:19, 3:16 and 3:12, 3-400’s @ 1:23, 1:22 and 1:18. Probably my best speedwork in months. Hopefully I keep getting faster!

Friday: Worked lated so I skipped my run

Saturday: 6 Miles on the treadmill, 45 min Spin Class and played football.

Sunday: 10 Miles on the treadmill. Last week I did 10 on the tread and it went pretty fast, this week I was struggling but managed to get through (slowly)

Total Mileage: 28 miles (Very low for me)

I also returned my LunaRacer’s and purchased Nike LunarGlide 2’s instead. The LunaRacer’s were really light but really low on the ankle.

  1. I’ve actually been thinking about getting a pair of lunaracers. I need something that can carry through a marathon that isn’t heavy.
