Cleveland Marathon’s New Finish Line

Have you heard the news? The Cleveland Marathon has moved the finish line to The Browns Stadium!

I really am not even excited about this……I am absolutely PUMPED! As soon as I heard the news I tweeted, retweeted and posted on facebook. And now days after I heard the news I am blogging about it.

I ran the Akron Marathon a few years ago and it finishes in Canal Park Stadium and it has been one of my favorite finish lines ever since (besides Boston that is). But I am from Cleveland and a Browns fan so being able to cross the finish line at The Browns Stadium is amazing!

Cannot wait to run the marathon this year. 94 days and counting! woo hoo!

Note: Finish line is outside the stadium not inside the stadium.

  1. That sounds awesome!! I hope to be able to cheer for all my friends/blends running in the CLE half/full this year! I’ll be running a half the week before or else I would run too! Anyway, thanks for letting me know about your blog 🙂

  2. The way I read the tweets from CleveMarathon, it sounds like the 5K is the only race that will finish INSIDE the stadium. The other races, it says will finish AT Browns Stadium, “near @GLScienceCtr & @rock_hall.” Not sure why they would be different, but that is what it sounds like.

    1. I noticed that too, not sure why they would be different. Especially since the kids races will take place on the field. But I will be happy to finish outside the stadium as well. It will look great in pictures!

    1. Congrats on your 3rd half, very exciting! I have heard mixed comments about the finish line being inside or outside the stadium. For the 5K it is def inside but for the other races the wording is that the finish line will be “at browns stadium”. Eihter way I am excited about the new location of the finish line.

  3. That’s pretty cool! I wonder if the 1/2 and full marathoners have the same finish line. I guess I should check the website. The Akron Marathon finish line is inside Canal Park and I love that finish line! Thanks for the info!
