Week 5 of Training

Clevelanders were truly blessed this week with the amazingly warm temperatures we had, I hope everyone got out there and enjoyed it/took advantage of it. I had a crazy weekend of cleaning so I had to postpone my long run til today but I also snuck in a long run on Thursday so I am not too worried. Note: my place is not that messy but family is coming in from out of town so you know how that is.

Monday: 6 miles

Tuesday: gym was super busy and after 45 mins on the elliptical I left 😦

Wednesday: 5 superfast miles outside in the warm springish temperatures 🙂

Thursday: 10 miles in the warm springish temperatures. It’s really windy and I was aiming for 12 miles but called it quits on 10. 🙂

Friday: Rest

Saturday: Chili Bowl 5K, 23:14 was my time. Not a fast time for me but first race of the season. 5 miles total (warm up+race+cool down). Played muddy football and we lost 😦

Sunday: 30 mins of P90x pylometrics, spent most of the day cleaning and went to see the Peking Acrobats at Playhouse Square. It was amazing!

Total Mileage: 26

I have a busy week ahead of me but plan on getting most of my runs in this weekend. Happy Running!

  1. Wow, great time on your Chili Bowl, especially with those wind gusts! I have never done a 5K in under 27 minutes. I can’t even imagine doing it in 23. I’m impressed.
