So I just finished the Towpath Marathon yesterday and guess what? Detroit Marathon is this Sunday. I went back and forth a lot on if I should run 2 marathons so close together and talked myself out of it a couple times, but after yesterdays marathon I know I am ready…and excited (maybe a little nervous too). But here is last weeks training:
Monday: Rest…nope played muddy football . Yep 2 weeks in a row that I have played muddy football
Tuesday: 5 miles
Thursday: Rest. Was supposed to do an easy 3 in the morning but over slept and instead of stressing out about it I just gave my legs some extra rest (it is rare that I do this)
Sunday: 26.33-Towpath Marathon!
Total Mileage: 35.33
Since I have another marathon coming up so soon, I am trying to give my legs as much rest as possible. My training plan even says to take off the week and eat swedish fish. For real, it says that, I swear. Although I am substituting in Spooky Nerds for Swedish Fish. Shocking, I know.
