  1. Awww so sweet 🙂 I kept waiting for the rest of the story yesterday! I had a blast planning my wedding, and the only tip I can offer you is to remember that the wedding details don’t matter in 1,5, 10+ years. HAVE FUN with it, don’t let the stress consume you, it’s not worth it. You can’t please everyone, so make you and Ryan top priority. Everyone else will fall into place. You’re going to walk down the aisle to the man you love, a messy bouquet or some hairs out of place don’t change the end result.

  2. This is the sweetest ever! AH! LOVE LOVE LOVE! I’m no make-up expert but I think if you use fake eyelashes and go without mascara that might help your make-up not run? I might have made that up, I’m not sure, but it makes sense in my head! 🙂 Also, do what YOU want to do, what makes you TWO happy. Everyone will have an opinion on how your wedding day should be, stick to your guns and do what you feel is right and is best for you. This is supposed to be FUN! The only thing I was nervous about on my wedding day was tripping while walking down the aisle and not spilling anything on my dress before the photos were taken. I survived both! 🙂

  3. Aww so sweet! Congrats!

“I was so happy and crying that I couldn’t even see the ring.” — I was the exact same way!! I also bawled during the wedding ceremony. No stopping those tears. Just let ’em flow and make sure your maid of honor has plenty of tissues stuffed in her bouquet. 😉

  4. Don’t worry about crying at the wedding! I cried like a baby at ours, as did just about everyone (even groomsmen!). Enjoy every minute of this time and all that’s to come!

  5. This is so sweet. I’m a wimp, and got a bit misty eyed at the proposal. HAH!

I’m about as weepy as a person comes, and I somehow managed to hold it together for my wedding ceremony. The only advice I have is to take deep breaths and smile. It somehow worked for me, and guess what? BRAD is the one who got all emo.

Um, this is Kristy by the way. Been following you for a little while, and haven’t commented. Congratulations! 🙂

  6. Yay for you guys! I love being married to Steve. He’s my best friend, training partner and everything I ever wanted in someone. We’re moving into our new dream home next week. I can’t express to you in words how amazing and special it is to share everything with this man. I wish you and Ryan eternal adoration of one another and happily ever after. There are plenty of naysayers out there but I for one think it is beautiful to marry the guy of your dreams! Congrats Jess!

  7. What a fun and romantic guy! And your ring is stunning. This story was worth the cliffhanger you put us through yesterday 🙂 I balled through my entire wedding. My chest is bright red and my nose is running down my face in the ceremony pics! The husband said he wouldn’t have had it any other way. I beg to differ!

  8. can I just reiterate how fucking excited I am for you (I don’t swear often – so that’s like…bit time excitement!) It’s so funny how paths cross again and again and it wasn’t until it was right for both of you that you got together. Timing is everything. You two are perfect for each other. I am so happy for you both 🙂

  9. Such a great story! Congratulations! I’m not a huge crier during moments like those (I tend to just get really quiet), but I started crying as soon as I started walking down the aisle and so did my husband. Just pack those tissues and you’ll be fine!

  10. Absolutely adorable. Love it when guys bring it all back to a memorable place in a relationship to pop the big question.

I have no advice when it comes to crying during weddings. I’m the girl that practically RAN down the aisle I was so SO excited! At Jen’s wedding this weekend, I was jumping up and down in the pews!!! I suppose Kimberly can suggest a good waterproof mascara…

Much love to you and Ryan!
