Frrrriday Favs: Chocolate Cake

This may be one of my favorite things to bake, mostly because it is so easy but also because it is delicious! Also, I am not a huge fan of frosting but love cool whip!

Frrrriday Favs!

New Shoes!!!!! Most girls get excited about heels and boots and such. Not this girl, new running shoes are my favorite! Luckily, I run a lot so I get new running shoes quite often.

With my hours getting cut at work I was on a mission to not only find good shoes but preferably shoes on sale. Normally, running shoes are my splurge item. Having to find something on sale was slightly heartbreaking.

After searching a whopping 2 stores I decided on these beauties.

Sadly, they are not pink, my signature color but I will deal.

I had my heart set on getting these shoes at Dicks however, Dicks had these shoes for $79.99,  but Finish Line had them for $59.99!!!!!!!!!

For once I am glad that I shopped around and got a better deal!

Happy Friday!

Frrrriday Favs

If you follow me on twitter then you probably saw this one coming. Today’s Frrrriday Fav is Peanut Butter! But not just any peanut butter, it has to be from The Peanut Butter Co. Seriously, the best peanut butter I have ever tasted in my life. I have never been some crazy PB lover but when I tried this brand I fell in love.

Believe it or not, I currently have 4 jars at home and I cannot even begin to chose a favorite one. Ok, Mighty Maple is my favorite but I swear they are all amazing!

What is your favorite PB and J recipe? I am boring and like a normal PB and J but I like to zap mine in the microwave for a few seconds before I eat it 🙂

P.S. I am Guest Blogging today over at Peace, Love & Bagels so go check it out!

My birthday is in 112 days (or something like that), please scrap together your couch change and buy me a sno-cone maker.

*As of right now Sno-Cone is not sponsoring of my races however, if they do I promise to run with a sno-cone in hand…maybe

Do you have a favorite flavor sno-cone?

My favorite dip…that my Mom and I developed together, Chipotle dip! Please note that this has nothing to do with Chipotle the food chain.

Ingredients that you will need:

24 oz Sour Cream (not the fat-free stuff)
1 cup Mayo (not the fat-free stuff)
2 chipotle peppers in adobe sauce (usually canned)
1 packet of taco seasoning

The Goods

Step 1: Chop up chipotle peppers. I toss them into my electric food chopper with a spoonful or sour cream. If you do not have an electric chopper you can do it by hand. Fact: the only thing I ever use my food chopper for is to make chipotle dip 🙂

Step 2: Combine, sour cream, mayo, chopped chipotle peppers and taco seasoning in a large bowl.

Step 3: Move everything to a Tupperware container and refrigerate for 1 hour.

The Yum

Step 4: Grab your favorite chips, veggies, heck use your finger if you want and dig in!

Q: Why not use fat-free sour cream and mayo?
A: Honestly, I have tried and it doesn’t taste the same at all. Pretty much tastes like poo.

Q: Can you taste the mayo?
A: I never think so. But I love mayo!

Q: Is it spicy? How can I make it more or less spicy?
A: Kinda. Make it less spicy by adding more sour cream or just use 1.5 chipotle peppers. Make it more spicy by adding an extra chipotle pepper (3 total), add some of the adobe sauce from your canned chipotle peppers and use spicy taco seasoning.

Q: Why refrigerate for 1 hour?
A: Once it is all combined you are free to eat it. I like to let it sit in the refrigerator and “marinate” a bit.

Q: Will I eat it all in one sitting?
A: You will be tempted to. Share with friends just to be safe.

Fact: I love sour cream and while making this dip the other day I found 4 open sour cream containers in the fridge. I am not the least bit surprised.

Frrrriday Favs!

My favorite sweet snack that I rarely keep stocked in the house because I will eat the entire jar……in one sitting is……Marachino Cherries.

Don’t be fooled into thinking that they are healthy just because they are cherries…they are not. They are super yummy though. I prefer the ones with out stems though so that I can eat them by the spoonful.

I used to eat these so much that I gave them up for Lent one year!

What is your favorite sweet treat/snack?
