On Saturday June 28th, Love Without Boundaries will be hosting their 5K run in Avon Lake. I love the help and work this organization does to provide for impoverished children in China, regardless of their needs.
“Love Without Boundaries Foundation was established in 2003 after a group of adoptive parents decided to save a life of a little orphan boy in China.”
Love Without Boundaries provides many surgeries and treatments including:
Cleft lip and palate repair
Tumor and neurologic issues
General surgeries-hernia repair, intestinal issues etc.
Orthopedic care and evaluation
You have a chance to support this organization by registering and running in the Running For Hope 5K on 6/28. This race is PR friendly, flat and they keep you as shaded as possible. I hear there will be some brighter colored shirt designs this year as well as a $100 gift card to the overall winner to Moxie/Red

Hey Hey Hey!!! I have some good news for my readers who are free on May 31st. I have a race giveaway! Pier W is hosting its Copper River Salmon Run/Walk 5K on Saturday, May 31 at 10AM. Hello sleeping in!
I’ve been wanting to run this race for the past few years and have missed out but I did get to watch Ryan run it a few years ago and the course is speedy! It’s a flat course through one of my favorite places, Lakewood! Plus when you are done you can hang out on Pier W’s patio, grab some drinks and enjoy some food prepared by Chef Regan Reik. Registered runners, your lunch is included in your race fee!!! (Let me know how the the Salmon Burger is!)
Why the “salmon run”? It’s to celebrate Alaska’s Copper River salmon season, and the proceeds benefit Cleveland’s Malachi House.
Malachi House, created out of a Christian sense of ministry, serves persons who are terminally ill, without cost or regard to gender, race, religion or national origin.
To be a part of this race you can register here online for $30 (includes lunch!) or you can register on race day for $35.

This week was just a week from hell in my personal life. (Hell being our car being stolen and turning our life upside down). I think the only reason I got my workouts in still was because it was the only normal thing I could still control this week. Running might have been the one thing to keep me sane last week. Although we might want to use sane lightly considering I ran my 18 mile long run on the treadmill! That’s a new treadmill distance PR for me.
Monday: 5 Mile run and 1 hour spin
Tuesday: Speed work on the treadmill 7-800s (6.4 total miles with Warm up and Cool down) and 900 meter swim. Wednesday: 5 miles in the am. Thursday: 3 mile run in the am, 2 mile run in the pm. Friday: 18 treadmill miles and for the first time this training season I didn’t get sick to my stomach after my long run. Saturday: 5 mile run with speedy Francesca and 900 meter swim
Sunday: 1 hour spin
Total mileage: 44.4
Strength training completely fell off the grid last week but I have plans to do that tonight after my 5 mile run. I hope my body enjoyed the week off from that.
But now let’s get to the fun stuff because I have a GIVEAWAY!!!!!! I have been participating in the Cleveland Marathon since 2008 (well before I had a blog) and it always has a soft spot in my heart.
